Personality and Notes[]

Jorka is one of the rare female hobgoblin combatants, but this is overshadowed by being a hobgoblin paladin, an exceedingly less common creature. Having thrown off the moral choices of most of her bretheren, Jorka is understandably unwelcome in her home community but finds this a small price to pay for being a crusader of goodness.

Not content to be an oddity for her race Jorka is a unusual breed of paladin. Though she has cast off the morals of her race, she retains all the sharp tactical thinking of her brothers and can be relied on to destroy evil with a well-laid plan. Though some paladins may be content to charge a demonic army head-on, waving a sword above their heads, be assured Jorka is painstakingly working out plans A, B and C, many of which center around hit-and-run tactics and isolating her target.

Jorka is no illithid, however, and can't work out such plans in a second, so she doesn't react to sudden situations all that well. Ambushes or unexpected crises will often prompt "charge with a battle cry" tactics when she doesn't have time to plan before the harm of innocents. If allowed prep time, however, she is an extremely effective strategist.

Combat[]

Jorka will lay down her life to protect innocents, but prefers to preserve both and be in control from the beginning. She will try to disarm armed opponents before attacking them, and tries to stay close enough to allies to both flank opponents and make use of her aura of courage.

Jorka tries to isolate opponents or squads before attacking and makes good use of terrain to do so. She prefers to stay on the move and dislikes being tasked with defending a position.
